Septic permits in Pineville

In Pineville, septic permits are issued by Mecklenburg County's environmental health office under North Carolina's statewide rules.

The process has three steps. First an Improvement Permit, where the county confirms the soil and space can support a system. Then a Construction Authorization, which approves the specific system and where it goes. Finally an Operation Permit, issued after the county inspects the installed system and before it is covered.
